Known issues

After installing Easy Media Creator, you may be unable to read CDs or DVDs

This issue appears to be caused by a conflict between a Roxio feature called RXFilter and certain anti-virus software. If you have this issue, you can correct it by disabling RXFilter. RXFilter lets you access data on compressed or encrypted disc sets directly from Windows Explorer instead of having to use Roxio Retrieve. After disabling RXFilter, you will need to use Roxio Retrieve instead to read compressed or encrypted data discs created in Creator Classic.

To disable RXFilter, download and run this utility:
http://tools.roxio.com/support/c8/rx/rxfix.exe

To re-enable RXFilter, download and run this utility:
http://tools.roxio.com/support/c8/rx/rxenabler.exe

After either of these utilities is run, you must restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
